Your First App

Let’s build your first app together. This detailed walkthrough will take you from idea to published app in under 30 minutes.

Starting a New Project

  1. Tap the ”+” button on the home screen
  2. Choose “New Project” from the options
  3. Give your app a name (you can change this later)

Describing Your App

The AI assistant will ask: “What would you like to build?”

Good Examples:

  • “A simple to-do list where I can add tasks, check them off, and delete completed ones”
  • “A recipe book where I can save my favorite recipes with photos and ingredients”
  • “A fitness tracker that logs my workouts and shows my progress over time”

Tips for Better Results:

  • Be specific about what users should be able to do
  • Mention key features you want included
  • Describe the user experience you’re aiming for

Live Preview

As soon as the AI generates your app:

  1. Your app appears in the preview window
  2. Tap and interact with it like a real app
  3. Test all the features to see how they work
  4. Take notes on what you’d like to change

Making Your First Edit

Found something you want to change? Just ask:

Example Edits:

  • “Make the add button bigger and green”
  • “Change the background color to light blue”
  • “Add a search bar at the top”
  • “Make the text larger and easier to read”

The AI will update your app in real-time.

Adding Your Content

Adding Images:

  1. Tap the camera icon in the chat
  2. Take a photo or choose from your gallery
  3. Tell the AI where to use it: “Use this as the app icon”

Adding Data:

  • “Add these sample recipes: [list your recipes]”
  • “Include these workout types: cardio, strength, yoga”
  • “Set up categories: work, personal, shopping”

Testing Your App

Before publishing:

  1. Use every feature - tap all buttons, fill out forms
  2. Test edge cases - what happens with long text?
  3. Check on different screen sizes if possible
  4. Ask friends to try it and give feedback

Publishing Your App

When you’re happy with your app:

  1. Tap “Publish” in the top right
  2. Choose your publishing option:
    • Web link - Share instantly with a URL
    • App stores - Submit to Google Play and Apple App Store (requires subscription)
  3. Fill out app details - description, category, keywords
  4. Submit for review (for app stores)
